What does the i stand for in iGoogle and similarly named sites?

The i is for intelligent.|||i have no clue but im going to guess international? idk|||Its supposed to give a feeling of personality and individualism for the individual.|||I've actually always wondered that same thing as well for a number of years; becuase of the iPod and such. But I can gather that it means internet.
